OneJet has just announced a new focus city in Louisville (SDF), Kentucky. With this announcement they are adding new nonstop flights from Louisville (SDF) to Raleigh (RDU) and to Kansas City (MCI). This will leave OneJet as the only airline providing nonstop flights on these routes. The nonstop flight from Louisville (SDF) to Raleigh (RDU) will be flown twice a day and is expected to commence on October 17th, 2016. The other new flight from Louisville (SDF) to Kansas City (MCI) will be flown once a day and starts on October 24th, 2016.
This leaves OneJet with two focus cities, one in Pittsburgh (PIT) and in Louisville. Previously OneJet had it’s initial focus city at Indianapolis (IND) but discontinued nearly all flights but still serves the city with flights to Pittsburgh. This will be the first time that they will serve Kansas City and Raleigh.
A little bit about OneJet. They are not a typical airline as they provide services with a much smaller Hawker 400 jet that seat only seven people. This allows them to accomplish their goal to connect small to midsize cities that have seen a drop of nonstop flights in the wake of airline consolidation. Flights have complimentary WiFi and are targeted towards businesses with offices on both ends of the route.
Be on the lookout for more flights in the future!
