Southwest Adds More New Routes From Dallas!

Southwest Airlines has added new nonstop flights from Dallas (DAL) to Charleston, Columbus, Indianapolis, Memphis, Milwaukee, Panama City Beach, Portland Oregon, Sacramento, San Jose, and Seattle. Some of these destinations were previously announced a couple of weeks ago but it is great to see Southwest expanded after the expiration of the Wright Amendment! Most of these routes will start on April 8th and have daily service except for Charleston which is Saturday only and Panama City Beach as a seasonal leisure route. The majority of the new destinations cater more towards the business traveler but it does open up more domestic connecting options as well. With the announcement all the new routes are on sale and start as low as $49 for a one-way flight until February 15th so book now!

From a personal standpoint it is really interesting that Southwest has added 3 new destinations and 4 daily flights from Indianapolis in the past couple of months. The new additions already add to clear lead in Indianapolis that can be seen in my analysis of Indianapolis seat capacity in November. Select the airline capacity tab to get a breakdown of how many seats each airline offered.
